Harajuku and Sushi
Japan is my favorite Asian country to vacation in for a few reasons. There are amazing sights to see in this Asian gem. There is the stunning Mt. Fuji, the sobering Hiorshima Peace Memorial Museum, oodles of temples and shrines, sumo-wrestling matches, and very friendly people. As if that wasn’t enough, this country offers plenty of nightlife activity, technological products and high-class travel all the way around. Japan is incredibly safe, clean and fairly easy to navigate. However, there are two reasons that Japan is unparalleled for travel in my book: the fashion and the cuisine.
The style of young people here, particularly Harajuku girls, is absolutely fascinating. The average teenager here looks like a Sailor Moon cartoon character with big hair and heels, colorful outfits, and shocking accessories. Getting ready for the day here consists of putting together as outrageous of an outfit as humanly possible.
The entire country isn’t necessarily like that, but Tokyo is full of interesting displays. Tokyo has some of the best shopping. All of the world-famous designers house stores in the city as well as many Japanese designers.
The fashion is amazing, but it can hardly compare to the cuisine. Sushi is delicious and there are few things as scrumptious as sushi made in the heart of Tokyo. The restaurants offer many types of sashimi and sushi rolls! It can get a little pricey, but it’s worth every penny…or Yen actually!
